Glenna Sandy

Toronto native, Glenna Sandy has been working with textured hair for just under 20yrs. She is a graduate of the AVEDA Institute in Toronto, and had a full circle moment when she was invited to teach a class on cutting textured hair, at the AVEDA Institute. Glenna, also produces a hair event titled, Natural Hair Fete, where textured hair is celebrated. She was also awarded “Best Salon” (mobile) by, By Blacks in 2018.

She has appeared in Essence Magazine; her work was in Flare Magazine; and she has been interviewed for her textured hair expertise by InStyle Magazine and Fashion Magazine.

She has worked in theatre, television, and was most recently the Head of Department for Hair for a CBC Gem Web Series.

She has worked with celebrities such as Issa Rae (American Express event) and Karan Kendrick (Toronto International Film Festival— TIFF appearance).
